We crossed back over the Canadian border again today at the
Wild Horse Border Station and spent the night in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
The
ride this day was all farmland; wheat, corn, and beets. Even though it wasn’t
too long of a ride there was nothing out there to help block the wind, wind,
wind.
We got into town a bit too early to check in at the hotel so we stopped off at the local shopping mall so Jay could buy some eye drops to help his itchy eyes feel better with all the pollen stuff that was being blown around. We weren’t in the hotel but 15 minutes before the skies opened up with rain, thunder and lightning that lasted most of the night. It was our good luck that the hotel had a very nice restaurant on the premises so we did not have to go back out in that mess.
Lunch was our favorite PB & J at a wide spot in the
road.
